Let's talk about the trucking industry, travel trends, and what Windskirt Advertising can do for your business.
01
The trucking industry has seen substantial growth over the past two decades. According to the American Trucking Association (ATA), from 1986 to 2006 the trucking industry saw "a 41 percent increase in registered large trucks and an 84 percent increase in miles traveled by large trucks." Additionally, "More than 80 percent of U.S. communities depend solely on trucking for delivery of their goods and commodities."

Wind skirts serve the trucking industry by enhancing fuel economy through advanced aerodynamics, in addition to other benefits. They can serve you by giving your company image the opportunity to obtain extensive visibility. Where the truck goes, your company message follows. "The average daily run for a long-haul, over-the-road truck driver is nearly 500 miles (ATA, 2012). That is approximately 14,000 miles a month and 168,000 miles annually. Wouldn't you agree that this is an exceptional amount of visibility for your company? At Windskirt Advertising, business owners also have the choice of sticking to trucks with regional routes or expanding to more nationwide coverage. The amount of trucks you choose to advertise on is up to you. A company can advertise on one or one hundred.

On the Road - Travel Trends
Windskirt Advertising
Drivers between the ages of 35 and 54 tend to spend a significant amount of time on the road, with many embracing long commutes back and forth to work. According to a 2009 report on travel trends, males in the 34-54 age group each drove an average of 17,654 miles in 2009 (McGuckin, Nakamoto, Gray & Liss, 2011 pp. 43). Though gas prices have not seen any recent notable declines, the comforts of modern vehicular technology such as GPS systems and satellite radio, are making road travel more comfortable, practical and with hybrid technology - more affordable. There are a lot of people and trucks on the road these days and many companies are beginning to take advantage of this excellent advertising platform through wind skirts.
In addition to extensive visibility & geographic coverage, advertising on wind skirts has a substantial fiscal advantage over other more traditional forms of advertising such as billboards. Standard billboard advertising costs approximately twice as much for production and more than ten times as much in monthly dues!
